Care Background

"I'm fine," they say —
but are you really sure?

When you're abroad, phone calls aren't enough.

CareLink provides on-site nurse visits, care audits, and clear decision summaries.

We are your eyes and ears on the ground.

On Site

Registered nurses attend clinic visits and conduct home visits to verify real conditions.

Audit

We confirm whether care plans are actually being followed — not just agreed upon.

Report

You receive a clear monthly summary with risks, findings, and next-step guidance.

Every decision you make about your parents' care
may already be based on incomplete information.

For overseas families,

the hardest part is not choosing —

it's not being there.

"The doctor said it's fine."

But you don't know what that actually means.

Specialists see dozens of patients a day. Appointments last minutes. Your parents remember one sentence: "It's okay. Let's observe." You don't know what the real assessment was, whether risks were discussed, or whether action is already needed. So you make decisions based on phone calls and summaries.

Medications keep increasing — with no integration

Multiple specialists. Multiple prescriptions.

No one reviews interactions, side effects, or cumulative risk. You're left hoping everything is okay.

Government benefits and care applications are a bureaucratic maze.

Care level assessments, caregiver arrangements, government benefits, home visits.

Tracking these remotely creates blind spots. One missing document can delay things for months.

Care quality is assumed, not verified

Is care actually being delivered as planned?

Are steps skipped? Corners cut? Without an independent on-site check, you're forced to trust without visibility.

"If I get this wrong, what happens?"

These issues rarely explode at once. They surface quietly —often when you return to Taiwan and realize a key moment has passed.

If the truth is happening somewhere you can't see,

what do you really need?

Not another call. Not more guessing.

But someone who can go on site, verify, organize, and report back.

FAQ

About CareLink

CareLink was not created from theory — it was built from lived experience.

Family Situation

For more than a decade, I have been dealing with my own family's situation. My father was diagnosed with prostate cancer and went through diagnosis, treatment, and long-term follow-up. My mother's dementia progressed gradually over the years—from early confusion to a stage that required continuous supervision. These were not isolated events. They unfolded slowly, decision by decision.

Long-Term Care and Government Resources

Our family went through multiple long-term care classifications, from Level 2 to Level 8. Later, my father was also classified as Level 2. I personally dealt with the division of responsibilities among A, B, and C units, the assessment processes, document revisions, and the focus of each home visit. Every step required follow-up. Nothing moved automatically.

What Actually Happens on the Care Floor

The real problem was rarely whether care was "arranged." It was whether it was actually being carried out. Over time, I witnessed situations such as:

  • Improper catheter management
  • Failure to follow turning schedules, leading to pressure ulcers.
  • Ongoing safety risks in the home environment

The system existed. What was missing was continuous verification.

Medical and Administrative Decisions

Many critical decisions had to be made without complete information: Hospital beds and assistive equipment, high-cost targeted therapies, insurance claim documentation, the timing of guardianship declarations. Most of these decisions could not wait—yet clarity was often missing.

Why CareLink Was Created

After going through this entire cycle, one thing became clear to me: The issue was not a lack of care or concern. The issue was that no one was organizing the full picture. If someone could be physically present, confirm what was actually happening, and consolidate medical and care information into something understandable, many decisions could be made more calmly and responsibly. That is why CareLink exists.

The Role of CareLink

CareLink does not provide daily caregiving. We do not replace doctors or family members. We do one thing only:

When you are not on-site, we verify the situation and organize the information—so you can make informed decisions.

My hope is that you do not have to walk every path the way I did, learning everything the hard way.
